A friend of mine told me a story about an ex-girlfriend who dumped him for one of his friends and, yet liked to talk about the "good ol' days" with him. I thought that sounded like pure torture. So, naturally I wrote a song about it.
 
This is one of my favorite songs from the Ferocious Daisies years. I still play it from time to time and it still works for me.
