Don't Waste Your Time

Lyrics

She's been traveling many miles
Been so many places I've never seen
Meanwhile I waste my time
Trying hard to be what I'm supposed to be

Am I right or am I wrong?
She says life just ain't that easy
But what else can I do?
She turns around as she says to me

Oh, don't you waste your time
I've been there before
It's been many years
But still I seem to find
My own mind

She's been everywhere it's true
Lives from day to day so carefree
When I ask her for advice
She gives a bitter smile as she says to me

Miscellaneous Info

While I was slogging my way through college, my older sister Susie was exploring the world. On her visits home we used to have these talks about life, school, travel, etc. This song came from those talks.

We recorded all the rhythm tracks for this album in Roger Gillespie's little studio and then finished it up at Chico's studio. Chico's studio was full of weird noise makers and he suggested that we use the train whistle on this one.
