No One Else To Blame

Lyrics

She says to me
Just where did I go wrong?
Where is the dream I was sold?
And why do I feel I don't belong?

Who's to blame
For all my bad decisions?
Such a shame to me

She's all alone
Feels like a prisoner in her home
Just let me be
She says to me
But I can't relate
I can't relate

Who's to blame
For all my bad decisions?
Such a shame it's me

We are the sum
Of all our choices
And there's no one else to blame

She says to me
Just stay with me for awhile
What happened to the fairytale
That I was fed
When I was a child?

Miscellaneous Info

In my opinion, this is the best song I wrote during my Ferocious Daisies years. I still play this one from time to time at solo acoustic shows and it still seems to hold up well.

This is another one where we doubled the acoustic guitar with a Nashville tuning. It sounds really nice in a couple of passages. I like Chico's harmonies on this one quite a bit, too.
