Miscellaneous Info
Eugene Edwards pointed out to me that this song's lyrics are much more interesting
if you imagine the narrator is a serial killer. I think he may be right but that wasn't
my intention. It's just the harmless tale of a boy coming to the realization that looks
truly ain't everything.
My original demo for this song was very short with a fade on the last chorus. But then, one
night I played with Eugene, Brian & Soupy and Gene put an epic solo at the end. So, I thought,
"O.K. - Gene's just cemented himself in that slot on the CD version".
Then, on another night, Brian played lead guitar on this song and earned himself a spot as well. So,
it was decided that they would swap parts over the ending. And, thus it came to be that
amps were placed on my toilet and in my hallway and the shredding of guitars did commence. And
it was good.
