I Am Not Surprised

This is my pretty protest song. It was written in the weeks right after Katrina hit New Orleans and is my ode to the national embarrassment that is our current Presidential Administration.
 
Musically thie one turned out quite differently than I originally envisioned it. When tracking it with Brian and Soupy and morphed into something quite different and wonderful. Joe Ongie gave Barry Hovis a mix of the song and suggested he give it a Burt Bacharach orchestral touch. Barry outdid himself and took the song to another planet. He's a genius.
 
I also love Joe Ongie's minimalist guitar solo on this track. Such a great vibe and the guitar tone is perfecto.
