June 26, 2007 | Posted by Mary at 10:31 am on 26 Jun 2007Susie and Mike's friend Jeff Heil will be organizing the slide show for Mike's memorial service. Anyone with photos they'd like to submit can e-mail them to Jeff @ jheil65@yahoo.com or call him on his cell phone (619)944-7599. I also have directions to the Marina Village from the 8W and 5S below: From Interstate 8, take West Mission Bay Drive exit go right. You will be on Ingram for a short distance from which you will take the next exit West Mission Bay Drive. You will see a large sign, Quivira Rd., go left, go one short block and go left again. Marina Village will be on your right. From 5 South, take the Sea World Drive exit, take West Mission Bay Drive, it will be on your right. You will see Quivira Rd. - go left. Follow the signs to the the Sunset Room. The ceremony will be held on the grass and Mike's celebration will follow upstairs in the Sunset Room. Susie would like to encourage everyone to wear festive colors as this is a celebration of Mike's life. (no black) Lastly, I've had several people ask me about donations. It will be held at the Marina Village in Mission Bay @ 3:00. Directions will be posted. Mary June 21, 2007 | Posted by John at 9:01 am on 21 Jun 2007Mike died last night at 11:30 pm. He went peacefully with Susie and Meredith at his side. They've asked that no one call them for a couple of days as they'd like some quiet family time. We will post information on Mike's memorial service(s) as soon as those plans are made. In the meantime, feel free to post messages of support for the family and/or remembrances of Mike in the guestbook. When we have more information regarding Mike's recovery we will decide at that point when to reschedule. Thank you..
